ASSOCIATION FOR MARRIAGE AND FAMILY THERAPY
INTERNAL
FAMILY SYSTEMS™: AN INTRODUCTION
Presented by NANCY M. WONDER, Ph.D.,
Licensed Psychologist
SEPTEMBER 19, 2008
This four-hour workshop will introduce participants to the Internal
Family Systems ™ model developed by Richard Schwartz, Ph.D.
The IFS approach is a non-pathologizing model of therapy that
integrates the intrapsychic process with family therapy, psychology,
and spirituality. It
offers a powerful way for the therapist to build a collaborative
relationship with the client, while safely healing severe trauma.
Nancy Wonder, Ph.D., is a licensed psychologist in private
practice since 2000.
She has been working in the Internal Family Systems Model since
2003. Dr. Wonder
completed the Level 1 Basic Training and the Level 2 Advanced
Training. In addition,
she has served as a Program Assistant in two Basic Trainings where
she facilitated practice groups and home groups of therapists in
training.
