MISSION STATEMENT

The overall mission of the Tallahassee Association for Marriage and Family Therapy is to represent the professional interests of marriage and family therapy and to support  and encourage those who share our belief in the power and potential of the family.  Specifically, the mission is accomplished through the following related activities:

1. Promotion of the highest ethical standards for the profession of Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT).

2. Active support for policies and legislation that demand the highest standards of  professional MFT practice.

3. Provision  of tools and resources needed for effective family therapy through workshop, supervision and support of accredited MFT programs.

4. Creative and organizational support of our members.

5. Support for research and graduate education in the field of family therapy.
